I’m coming to Darwin!

A sudden development: UWA have generously agreed to let me defer my exams until January. Apparently “Running for Parliament” is a first for them in the deferral game.

I am waiting on my lecturers to see if I can get my assignments deferred also. But in the mean time I am gambling on their goodwill and I am flying to Darwin in the morning. I will be there at 1pm. I can’t wait!

The NT News has published what I believe to be Jacques first mention in print media (Corrections if I’m wrong please). The article, although correct at the time of publishing has been somewhat bent out of shape by Jacques decision to fly up to Darwin to contest the election. In my mind, it can’t be done any other way.

It all happened after their copy deadline, so it’s an understandable mistake.

Also, it is great to be home again. I’ve missed Darwin.
