Day 12 has been uneventful, though the visit to Hot 100 seems to have lead to a small bump in visitors since yesterday.
Next week you will be able to find me at the second fundraising Booster Draft. I’m hoping to get a mention into the Sunday papers; we’ll see if that comes off. I will also be appearing at a candidate’s forum hosted by the Womens Network NT. It should be interesting as they have also lined up all the other announced candidates.
It’s a great opportunity to talk to interested voters in a relatively non-partisan setting and I am very much looking forward to it. They want me to talk about at least 3 out of 4 topics: childcare, statehood, the nuclear power industry, the NT aboriginal communities intervention and industrial relations. However they only give us 15 minutes. For a wordy bloke like me that’s a big ask.
The forum will be held Thursday, November 1st at the Lobby Bar, Holiday Inn Esplanade, with the speechifying kicking off from 5.05pm. There’s a more detailed schedule on the website.
