A plethora of fora

I learned this morning that the ABC are holding a forum tomorrow at Brown’s Mart from 11am. I wasn’t invited. I can understand David Tollner and Damien Hale getting the nod, but I felt it was a bit prescriptive to decide that the Greens are credible alternative and that I am not.

I put my views to the ABC in the afternoon. They said I was free to ask questions from the audience, but that with merely an hour set aside for the broadcast they couldn’t fit me into the main platform.I see where they are coming from but I strongly disagree. If 10 minutes on Stateline is good enough for two major party candidates, I reckon they could have squeezed in another minor party candidate.

As it happens I only found out it was happening through a friend who heard it being spruiked on the radio. To be honest I felt a bit put out.

Also, I’d like to remind you all that I will also be attending the Australian Chrisitan Lobby’s do tomorrow night. It will be held at Mal Nairn auditorium at CDU’s Casuarina campus from 7pm.

    I did listen to the ABC and I find it a waste of time.
    It was a bit like the debate between J.H and K.R but without the worm…
    Except for you and Foley, the reste of the audience was made of greenies and laborites…
    I was very surprised to hear a few claps for Dave at the end of the circus…
    Cheers.

    Phil;

    It was a mostly partisan audience but that’s typical for these sorts of affairs. Labor and the Greens were in force but there were few CLP warhorses amongst the crowd and questioners too.
