Jacques Chester was born in Royal Darwin Hospital on December 11, 1980. He has spent most of his life in Darwin. Currently he is a student at UWA, but has pledged to return immediately to Darwin if he wins in Solomon.
Jacques was educated at Holy Spirit Primary, Moil Primary and Kormilda College. While at Kormilda he completed an International Baccalaureate.
Jacques has previously worked for the NT News as a Classifieds Representative, as a car rental salesman, in a liquor store, as a pizza delivery driver and an electorate officer for Dave Tollner. He feels that this mix of work has given him a broad taste of the real world outside of study and political circles.
Jacques became involved in student politics while studying computer science at Sydney University. Subsequently he founded the University Liberal Club at CDU while studying law. He was elected to the position three times.
A realisation that lawyering was not his dream job led Jacques to return to his first love, computers. Currently he studies computer science at UWA.
Jacques believes that the Liberty and Democracy Party represents the best mix of policies for the people of Solomon and Australia.
Jacques needs your help — please get in touch if you want to donate or volunteer for his campaign.
